Farm Supper at the Farwell Mill in Thorndike Village. Chef Frank Giglio serves up a feast of local organic foods with a touch of the wild in every bite. This year will find us in the Lumber Shed at the former Farwell Brothers Mill and Store, a spacious barn adorned with old tools and books, with local history in every corner. Menu will be posted as the time nears and we see just what's ripe. Stay posted!

Farm and Homestead Day at Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association - MOFGA, in Unity. This free event teaches homestead skills; every year people come away with new abilities. The pot-luck picnic lunch is always a treat. Events will be posted as time nears, and will also be available on the MOFGA website. Evening Concert in the Railroad Yard in Thorndike Village - Local riffraff and railroad blues will be announced.

Waldo County Open Space Festival begins at 9am with flea market; food, music, wildlife exhibits, storytelling, poetry, historic Waldo County slide show and exploring the village from noon until dark. Featured are Bryant's Stove Works and Museums, The Farwell Project Mill and Store, McKay Farm & Greenhouses, Railcycles and games. Performances and workshops to be announced.
